Como-Pickton Students Take Third Place at
PASF Competition in San Antonio

From Jana Andrews

This past weekend Como-Pickton CISD students competed in the Pan American Student Forum (PASF) of Texas in San Antonio. Students participated in categories such as Spanish reading comprehension, Spanish listening comprehension, Spanish vocabulary, and Spanish civilization. Approximately 1600 students from across the state of Texas took part in the competition.

Como-Pickton CISD received third place in several areas and student, Bryan Tovar, received first place in advanced vocabulary.

PASF provides students the opportunity to be involved in state and federal levels of scholarship. During the month of April, several students will take the next step at Texas A &M Commerce for additional scholarship opportunity.

Congratulations to all the students who participated!
